About Denham
Denham Aerodrome lies 1.5 NM east of Gerrards Cross, inside the M25 with fast access from the M40 and A40, about 28 km from central London. It is run by Bickerton's Aerodromes, operates VFR only and requires prior permission (PPR); it is open 08:00–20:00 in summer and 08:00–18:00 in winter. The asphalt main runway, 06/24, is 775 × 18 m and lit for night use, and a 546 m grass runway, 12/30, is used when the wind requires. Avgas 100LL and Jet A-1 are available on site.
Denham sits just inside the London Control Zone, a few miles from RAF Northolt, so its circuit is small and flown to the north. Flying here goes back almost to the earliest days of aviation, and the aerodrome played its part in both World Wars. It was originally named Hawksridge, and the first aircraft based at the civil aerodrome — its founder's de Havilland DH.60G Moth, G-ABAG — is still flying today.
Today Denham is a busy training and business base. The Pilot Centre flies Cessna 152s and 172s, Piper PA-28s, a Cessna 182R and a Citabria; HQ Aviation is an authorised Robinson helicopter dealer, flight school and Part-145 maintenance centre; and aerial filming, charter and engineering companies share the site with 2370 (Denham) Squadron Air Training Corps, Biggles Restaurant and the Crew Room café. International flights are regular, typified by the Pilatus PC-12.
We work to Denham's procedures for contractors and bring our own water container and generator, so we don't depend on facilities at the aircraft — and our exterior wash is waterless. Typical work here ranges from regular cleans for Cessnas, PA-28s and Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters, all with an instant online price, to larger turboprops such as the PC-12, which we quote after a short on-site inspection.

FREQUENTLY ASKED
Detailing at Denham: Common Questions
Can you work airside at Denham?
Yes. We work under Denham Aerodrome's procedures for contractors and arrange access with the aerodrome before each job, within operating hours (08:00–20:00 in summer, 08:00–18:00 in winter).
Do you need water or power at my aircraft?
No. We bring our own water container and generator on our vehicle, and our exterior wash is waterless, so we need very little water in the first place.
Do you work with flight schools and clubs at Denham?
Yes. Flight schools and clubs can set up a monthly retainer for regular fleet cleans, scheduled around your training programme.
